A long overdue update!

Above is Mario Caribe from Moishe’s Bagel getting spiritual with his cavacino at the Ring of Brodgar in Orkney. The end of May saw Bootcamp Live travel to Orkney with the Bagels and a fantastic folk festival was had by all.
On the recording front, Ryan Quigley’s album, “Laphroig-ian Slip” was released at the Glasgow Jazz Festival with a concert at City Halls which Dave and Mark Bootcamp both attended - much wine was drunk and good music absorbed!
We’ve also been working on live tracks with Any Color Black and are about to travel to somewhere in the Borders to record a young Death Metal Band called “Hardrada” Then it’s Bootcamp Live running 3 venues at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival....... So all in all still busy!!

Humdrum Jetset

We’ve just finished recording producing and mixing the fabulous “Humdrum Jetset”

We went for an organic approach on this one with the philosophy being - stick a mic up and get the nearest instrument to hand recorded - which was great fun!

Spring has sprung

At last we are having sunshine here at Bootcamp Towers and we are too busy to get out in it!!
Early April saw the mobile recording of the Ryan Quigley Sextet at the RSAMD in Glasgow. The guys performed phenomenally and cut an album in 1 day!! It’s sounding really good. In the middle of all this I was moving flat and the Bootmobile failed its MOT which was a tad stressful but all is being fixed slowly but surely! This month I’ve been mixing more tracks for Any Color Black’s forthcoming EP and they are sounding HUGE!! Watch their website for new sounds!
Also progressing is the Phil Bancroft Quartet Album we recorded back in January. Yours truly was out at Phil’s house last week adding some Bootcamp polish to the mixes - again they are sounding great and we cannot wait for them to get out there! The above picture was taken on a recent live recording we did in Wales........ Behold all the flashing lights!

Most people I know have always wanted to travel the world etc etc.....
I saw something tonight that made everything I’ve ever wanted to do make sense - I didn’t have to travel far to see it.....
It was always right there in front of me.
